ABOUT
Our directors Philip and Laura Stewart have worked in the industry for over 20 years. Initially training in Furniture Design at Edinburgh College of Art and Interior Architecture and Design in Nottingham respectively, they came together over 15 years ago to set up Born Designers.
Prior to this, they both worked for luxury hotel brands in London, Sweden, Switzerland and Miami and retailers throughout Europe, designing incredible spaces for people to sleep, shop, dine and relax.
With roots now firmly set in Brighton, the studio focuses on a core commitment to enhancing living spaces and creating inspiring interiors within the private residential, hospitality and retail sectors. They prioritise client collaboration, fostering strong relationships with architects and contractors alike; Specialising in high end residential work and commercial ventures as well as consulting for other design practices on adhoc projects.
Philip is also the Co-Founder of our sister company Born Makers. An established workshop space dedicated to the production of small batch furniture, bespoke commissions and prototypes for interior details.

Laura is Registered Interior Designer with The British Institute of Interior Design.
